Hi my name is Tyler and I am twenty-one years old. My story is a bit long so please bear with me! Recently my life has been more than hectic it's been a struggle. Between financial and medical hardship in my immediate family I have not had much time to focus on what I want to do with my life. I had to switch my focus swiftly from my education to my family when my dad injured his back a little over five years ago. I had to do whatever I could to help get him back on his feet.
I’ve taken odd jobs here and there to try and help our situation but have not really been able to contribute financially. The reason being is that my father and I have no running vehicle and live in a small town that is thirty miles away from the nearest major city. To make it worse my dad’s medical insurance has gone up recently leaving us with a slimmer margin of money to help us get by each month.
In these rough times I have had one escape which is YouTube. I especially like watching a gamer named Syndicate (real name: Tom Cassell) he is only slightly older than me and has made a successful career out of making gaming video content on YouTube, livestreaming on Twitch, and has even launched his own clothing line. I have always loved video editing, gaming and entertaining, but I never knew until a year ago you could make a living doing it. I have come to watch many of these gamers, these content creators, and see that there beginnings are not so far off from the hardships I have faced.

I know most people may consider me young to be making a decision like this, but I have never been more passionate and comited about anything in my life! If I can touch someone’s life like Syndicate and many others have affected mine I would feel like I have accomplished something truly great. If I can make one person laugh of cheer them up when they are having a bad day I have done my job. Also I can earn money making content at home which means I can help my father out and repay him for all the years he has taken care of me without having the cost of transportation to and from town.
It also means I can finally be happy for the first time in five years and help my father at the same time. So please I’m not asking for much if you could spare as little as one dollar I would be so grateful. I know my goal is high but it would mean a lot that a complete stranger could help launch what hopefully is to become my life long career. With one donation (That will allow me to buy equipment for filming and editing) you can cause a ripple effect that will help me through the rest of my life, and then in the future who knows maybe I can help someone like me fulfill their dream. So please stop and think that you won't be only helping me but my dad and maybe hundreds or thousands of people down the line.
