Taylor's Breast Cancer Battle
Donation protected
This is Taylor's mom. As a mom, the last thing we expect to hear, or even want to hear, is that one of our children has been afflicted with a life-threatening illness. Well, Taylor, is a pure testimony in her numerous experiences with in-the-blink-of-an-eye life changing events can happen, with this most recently being the January 13th diagnosis of invasive ductal carcinoma grade 3 HR negative (HER2 pending). I hate cancer! There are all kinds of technical medical terms that are simply boggling my mind, like grades, stages, HR negative/positive, HER2 negative/positive, triple negative, metastasis, premenopausal, etc. Bottom line is that my 34 year old divorced daughter, a single mother of 4 children, 2 of whom have special needs, has breast cancer which has manifested it's ugly self in the form of two tumors thus far. Taylor can and will beat this....However, she lives 2250 miles away from her strongest support system--me and my husband, Jim, in Arizona, and her sister in California. She needs us and we need to be able to help her in whatever way we can.
I have established this account as people have asked how they can help Taylor in this journey. We are in the process of making arrangements to relocate her and the kids and their dogs and their belongings to Arizona so they all have ample support and love while Taylor undergoes treatment near our home--a double mastectomy has been recommended as a first step followed by chemotherapy. There will be expenses related to their move, getting them settled, and for the treatment process. Her insurance coverage will also be up in the air for a short time after the move so medical expenses may come into play as well. If you want to help, this is how you can assist her and us best to alleviate financial stressors.
We are people of strong faith and we place our trust in Jesus Christ to see us through this storm one day at a time. We are forever grateful for whatever support you can offer. Bless you for keeping Taylor, the kids, and our family in your prayers.
