Running with Beagles 2016

Hello, my name is Lorne Durnford. Two years ago, I had a little idea in my head to combine the two things that I love into one huge thing that everyone that benefit from. That is my love for beagles and road running. I ran a campaign called running with beagles to help raise funds for a non-profit organization called beagle paws to help raise funds for to build there new shelter for the St. John's NL branch. I hope to raise around $500 because it was an experiment and I didn't know how well recieved this project will be. I almost double that amount. I thought it was just a one time deal but due to the over whelming repsonse that I got, Im going to make this an annual event with 100% of what I raise will go to the shelter for the beagles.
In past years I set my goal 500 dollars and I surpassed that amount greatly. However; this year with budget 2016 taking affect, I lowered my goal to 250. This year's event is abit different though....Prizes will be drawn. 100 dollar liquor card, 100 dollar gift card from paradise bowl, and other goodies to be announced at a later date. Every time you donate 5 dollars, your name will be written in for the draw. So if you donate 20 dollars, your name will be written in 4 times. It's that simple.
A little bit about myself: I've been a Beagle Paw owner since August 2012 when I was introduced to my lovely girl Bella. The Beagle Paws team were so helpful on finding the right dog for me because I felt that another dog in the household, I own a Golden-Doodle, would make the house more exciting. It was always one of my dreams to rescue a dog and Beagle Paws made that dream come true. A few months go by and I was browsing on the Beagle Paws website and I noticed that this little beagle paw dog named Jack was looking for his forever home. Jack was a special case as he had some behavioural issues. I work with behaviours for a living and I felt that this little guy was just misunderstood so I took him in. He is a handful but he is doing great and has improved so much since he became a member of our pack. So until Tely 10, I will be looking for donations. I hope you can help us and help Beagle Paws achieve their dream.
