Nepal Earthquake Relief- SANN SoCal

Dear friends,
On April 25, 2015 a catastrophic earthquake of 7.9 magnitude hit Nepal. Thousands of people throughout Nepal have been affected and we need to help them by raising money for local relief efforts.
Society of American Nepalese Nurses (SANN) - So Cal Chapter has decided to raise money from our friends and family in the US and send it to Action Works Nepal (AWON), a local Nepali NGO. They have been active in organizing relief programs and providing medical care to the victims in Kathmandu as well as the rural areas of Sindhupalchok district which as we have all seen, is one of the worst affected areas.
Donating to a trusted Nepali NGO such as AWON that has vast experience in community building and has been at the forefront of providing immediate relief will be the most effective use of the money that we're collecting. We also believe donating to a local organization such as Action Works Nepal, that has been an active advocate for the poor, vulnerable and marginalized people of Nepal will have a sustainable impact in the recovery of Nepal and its people.
