Nepal K9 Search & Rescue From JOMO

This page is established by 4 State Search and Rescue, Joplin, Mo(a registered 501c3 public charity with the mission of Providing search and rescue expertise especially k9 assets to those who are lost our missing).It's purpose is to support a Rescue/Recovery Mission to the Devastating Earthquake in Nepal. This morning a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the country and at the current time at least 1400 people are feared dead with the death toll expected to rise.
A group of Search and Rescue K9's (Based out of Joplin Missouri)and their handlers along with a team manager departed on Monday April 28 headed for Nepal. This group consists of 2 K9's and their handlers from Joplin, Mo, 1 K9 and Handler from Columbia, Mo and a Team manager from Joplin, Mo.
They are responding with Global Outreach Physicians (Go Docs) and only their airfare is being covered at this time. The rest of their expenses at this point are strictly out of their own pocket. They are traveling with extra supplies necessary for the safe travel of the canines add well as items to allow self sufficiency while in Nepal. The group has already incurred unplanned expenses for overweight luggage which was quite expensive for international travel.
Funds Raised by this campaign Will be used for any unexpected and non reimbursed expenses. The team has already incurred out of pocket expenses for extra baggage weight as they are traveling with supplies for themselves and their K9s in addition to medical supplies and items needed for them to be self sufficient while on this mission.
Funds raised will be made available to the
team by means of moving money into an account that may be accessed by the team manager while they are out of the country.
Please help support this important mission and the financial burden that the team members will bear while volunteering to respond to this tragedy and hopefully save lives or help provide closure for the families of the lost.
