Hi everyone, I have created this fundraising page on behalf of my mother, Wilma Adorno. My mother is battling advanced stage liver cancer and with your help, she can be given the treatment she needs to put up the fight of her life to win the battle against this disease. At this time, she needs your help to raise funds to pay the Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to receive necessary treatment to fight her current condition of advanced stage liver cancer. Unfortunately, this medical facility does not accept her medical insurance and in order to walk through the doors to receive specialized medical assistance at this hospital, she needs to pay extremely high medical costs for treatment. We do not want to deny my mother treatment at this hospital just because she does not have the funds since this hospital is unlike any other hospital, they specialize in advanced stage and complexed cancer conditions and they have given us hope that they can treat my mother's condition when the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York said they could not treat her. It just doesn't seem fair at all to not be able to give my mother this opportunity to fight this cancer disease at the CTCA.
For those that do not know my mother or do not know what she has been going through, she was diagnosed with this cancer illness on April 19th, so we immediately took her to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center of New York and they did not give my mother treatment because they said her liver function will fail and eventually shut down. In order words, they gave my mother no hope, but she refuses to give up. That's why we need to take her to CTCA in Philadelphia for treatment because they are the only facility giving us hope.
We believe that there are a lot of caring people out there that are willing to help to support this cause because they know my mother personally and love her dearly and want to do all they can to help her get better. If you can please find it in your heart to help donate any amount you can afford to help her reach this financial goal, our family will be so grateful and thankful for your kind and generous donation. As soon as we can raise these funds, we will promptly get my mother the medical care she needs to survive from the CTCA hospital and keep you updated on any progress.
