Please HELP my daughter!

My name is Sharon H., and I moved to Yelm, Washington 20 years ago to become a student of RSE.  I left my only child, Susan, happily married for 2 years in Utah. On May 5, 2017, her world was turned upside down when her husband of 23 years took her 3 children and filed for divorce.  I started the Go Fund Me program to help with the legal fees generated as her attorney works  to obtain child support and finalize the divorce.  This is her story in her own words:

I won the court on May 22nd and got my children back.   After several more courts over the last two and a half months it took the Office of Recovery Services to get the first child support payment to me  on  August 2nd.  However,  my husband has just quit his job and it is not clear when there will be further financial  help from him.

While I have my children back,  I need help with the attorney's fees.  The Go Fund Me program has gathered over $2400 of donations which have paid 50% of the legal cost thus far.  The effort going on now to get child support, the debts and  the finances separated increases the legal bills daily.

If you can contribute to this Go Fund Me program, no matter how much or how little, it would be such a huge help for me. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

It was on Friday,  May 5, 2017,  that I came home from working at Walmart,  where I have worked full time for the last 10 years,  and found that my three children, ages 16, 11 and 7, were gone.  I called my husband  and he told me, "Our marriage is over".  He also told me that I could not see my children because he had gotten a Temporary Restraining Order against me until the court date  on May 22nd.

I was in shock because we had been working on our marriage for some time, and I thought his drug use and partying were all behind us and that our family was on the right track again.

Our tax return had come in that week.   I called the bank and found out he had taken $2400 out of our checking account, leaving me only $600.  I searched all the organizations that help women  and I found an attorney who was kind enough to take my case for only $500, when his normal fee was $1500.

While I was preparing for the court hearing, I went through our bank statements for the past year and l found out that my husband had bounced 91 checks in the last year.

In the May 22nd court the first thing addressed  was theTemponary  Restraining Order against me.  My husband had stated that I planned to take the children, move to Washington State and that he would never see the kids again.  This was completely untrue, for I have never talked about or planned on leaving.

The Restraining Order that my husband had drawn up was based on false accusations and lies.  My attorney presented actual facts to show that the Restraining Order was without merit, and the fact that he bounced 91 checks in the last year showed his fiscal irresponsibility.   The Judge revoked the Restraining Order and awarded the children to me, giving me full custody of all 3 children.

I am grateful for all the kindness/support from people at my work,  my family which is out of state,  friends,  my church, and  people who do not know me who just want to help.  This chaotic mess feels terrible and it is hard to get through many days.  I am working to come out of this process a stronger and wiser person.  It is hard some days not to fight hate with hate.  I know when all this is changed the kind of life I will have in my future depends on keeping a loving heart.

Thank you for any financial help you can give - it means more than you can imagine.  God Bless You,  Susan
