Abe is an 8 month to 1 year old Miniature Donkey that Rivers End Animal Sanctuary & Learning Center pulled from a kill pen late February 2015. Little Abe had pneumonia and spent three days of his 30 day quarantine receiving intense medical care thanks to a wonderful local vet. Abe has now developed a secondary infection in his feet. The infection is very bad and Abe needs clinical care to help treat the necrotizing soft tissue infection and provide much needed iv antibiotics. Abe is a fighter and is standing, eating, and biting his stall mate. If Abe isn’t giving up neither are we. As long as he is alert, active, and moving around, we will do all that we can. Time is of the essence and help is needed as we are a small rescue and run on limited funds. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Thank you and Godspeed.
