Sunny's Medical Funds

Sunny is my 13 year old Toy Poodle. My mom first brought him home when I was about 10 years old. She got myself and my 3 siblings to sit in a circle in the kitchen and she placed this tiny, curious, curly haired puppy in the middle. From that point forward, Sunny and I have been inseperatable. 

My family has been through a lot in this life. My Grandpa, who was an important part of my life, passed away last March, a week before we were to visit. But through it all I've had my truest friend; a small, silly, bundle of curly fluff. Sunny's been there for me when others weren't able to be, and anyone who knows me in the slightest knows how much he means to me.

When I took him in for his vet appointment today, the vet informed me that he had a stage 4-5 heart murmur and based on his symptoms he was in the early stages of heart failure. She told me that Sunny had a minimum of 6 months left with me. Wow. It could definitely be longer and I'm holding onto that but when she told me this, I obviously started to cry. Sunny saw he looked up to me and put his paw on my arm.
She gave me an estimate for x-rays, bloodwork, and medications and it depressed me to know that I couldn't afford this by myself. 

Everything from this amazing community will be going to my dog's vet bills. I want nothing more than to give him the most comfortable life he can possibly have for as long as he plans to stick around.
This special creature means the world to me. He touches every soul he meets with his unique personality and charming manner. I know I can't have him with me forever but to be able to give him the help he needs to be as comfortable as possible would bring us both great joy and peace.
