STORM (Specialized Tactical Operations Rescue Mobilization) Team is a Search and Rescue Team and Disaster relief provider capable of deploying within the United States and its territories. We are dedicated to serving underserved communities during emergencies and disasters. STORM's mission is the safety and well being of all life.
We are a non profit 501(c)3 organization comprised of Fire Fighters, Medics, EMS personnel, First Responders, Veterans and other dedicated individuals that have the desire and sense of duty to serve and help others. STORM personnel is trained and professional certificate holder of FEMA, USAR and Swift Water qualifications. All members are also part of CERT (Community Emergency Response Teams) organizations. STORM members utilize our training and skills to assist Emergency Management Agencies at Federal, State and Local levels with Search and Rescue Operations.
Additionally, STORM is capable of providing self sustaining Disaster Relief Operations. Through collaborative partnerships and generous donations we are able to provide communities with emergency relief supplies such as food, water, toiletries, dry goods, pantry items, blankets, pet food, diapers, and school supplies delivered to the hardest hit communities whenever and wherever a disaster strikes. The STORM Team stays in military "MASH" style tent units onsite, utilizing STORM equipment. This allows us to streamline and reduce overhead in rental equipment and lodging fees that are large budget items that traditional relief agencies pay for with donation dollars.
STORM puts MORE of YOUR donations into helping those most vulnerable and affected by spending less with lower administrative cost and overhead expenses. STORM partners with organizations like SPRINT and ITDRC to provide wifi and satellite communications to the communities and agencies we serve. This is essential when their 911, internet, and phone services are down. We collaborate our efforts with organizations and donors such as Sunbelt Rentals, Church World Services (CWS), Latter day Saints (LDS), Cajun Navy Relief and other networking partners to provide the quickest most efficient disaster relief available.
STORM is the only organization in the nation that is a National Response Search and Rescue Team that ALSO provides Disaster relief. STORM Search and Rescue personnel deploy as soon as they are able to reach the affected regions and begin performing missions. These Search and Rescue operations allow STORM the ability to network and make contacts that are crucial to developing a strong team for rescue and disaster relief efforts. These early Search and Rescue operations and contacts allow us to reduce the transition time between the Rescue and Relief periods of disaster management that other relief agencies experience .
