Fight the Silence

I would like everyone to take a pause for all the survivors in our life whether it is yourself or a friend or someone in your family. As you think of someone who connects you to this issue break the silence with a yell or with the saying of a name. Please join us in the Fight the Silence 5K Challenge!

I think the hardest part was speaking out for me because of the long time I have kept it to myself. Most of the close people in my life still do not know about what I went through. I always tell myself that better days are ahead and that with each day I am healing.

My siblings…we are strong people. The pain we encountered, we bandaged ourselves best we could and pushed through, and we are still pushing through. We are resilient. We are a testament to the work that God can do in taking what was evil and reworking it for good.

All donations will go towards making sure all equipment and materials are covered for the race. The money that is left over will go to the Columbus Wellness Center Outreach and Prevention Project. This non-profit teaches children how to take care of themselves and become successful. I will also be interning there this summer.
