Women's Rights During Childbirth

My name is Tiffany (Raya) Trumbo and I am a victim of assault, battery and coercion while giving birth to my child in a local hospital. I have made a report with the Grass Valley Police Department and am petitioning the Nevada County District Attorney to accept my case for criminal prosecution. I am going against a system that is not designed for women in my situation and I'm trying to bring around change within a country that ranks 50th out of all the developed nations when it comes to the maternal/infant mortality rate.

            By donating to this cause, you are promoting the question in the American justice system:  do women have constitutional rights during childbirth? What my family and I have suffered because of the violent acts of two people within a hospital facility are unconscionable and I wish to set a precedent to bring greater accountability within our medical system, to prevent this type of abuse from happening to any other women and children. In order to accomplish this goal, I need funds behind me to pay for legal fees, funds which I do not possess.
