Starz Cheer Team to World Games!!!!

The 2015 Special Olympics World Games will be taking place in Los Angeles this summer. For the first time EVER, cheerleading teams have been invited to join in the festivities and cheer on the competitive events! The Calvert County Starz Unified Cheer Team is one of only two teams from Maryland attending. Unfortunately, cheer teams are responsible for funding their own participation, including airfare, lodging, food, uniforms, transportation, etc. The cost to send this team to Los Angeles will be close to $25,000, and that's just for the athletes!
Many of the families are struggling to find ways to afford to send their athletes. Our daughter is a unified partner on the team (one of the volunteers that participates on the team alongside the athletes), so we've seen firsthand how hard all of these young men and women work and the fun they have while doing it. Please help us send these deserving athletes to a once-in-a-lifetime event to cheer on teams from around the world. Any money raised that is above the actual cost of sending the athletes will be donated to local Special Olympics programs.
