My name is Carissa O'Neal Laidlaw. :) Almost 7 years ago, as a senior in high school, I was involved in a serious car accident which left me completely paralyzed from below the chest down. Since that time, I have relearned how to live my life bound in a wheelchair. Being in a wheelchair is very limiting compared to my active life before. I participated in many sports, including football/competition cheerleading. Recently, my parents have found an alternative to the wheelchair, called the TEK Robotic Mobilization Device. This device is a machine that allows easier mobilization compared to a wheelchair. Although it still does not change the condition of my paralysis, it would make my day to day mobility conditions a little easier. My family and friends encouraged me to create this page in hopes to raise enough money to purchase this machine for myself. All donations will be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you so much! God bless!
