Haydee's Second Chance Against PD

Thanks for visiting this page.

My name is Haydeé Seijo Maldonado, college professor, researcher, academic coach, administrator, spiritual seeker, jogger and loving aunt of 17 nephews and nieces. I enthusiastically embrace life and since 2005  beign diagnosed with Parkinson Disease (PD).

PD has progressed and as a result I have strong difficulties in gait, balance and voice along with medications' side effects.  These force me to move in with my loving niece and her family that take great care of me. The past months have been a strong experience but I believe that all I need is to improve my physical body getting strong and independent again. These are my main reasons to overcome PD:
      1) to joyfuly participate on my 17 nephews and         nieces' lives and to happily watch their kids growing
       2) to be able to teach and conduct research with enthusiasm, and to further influence my students' intellectual and human development
       4) to inspire PD patients to become strong
contenders of this disease
        5) to continue fully enjoying life and love

Help me raise funds for a specialized PD treatment at the recognized International Center for Neurological Rehabilitation (CIREN, for its Spanish acronym) www.ciren.cu , located at La Habana, Cuba.  Please share the campaign with others because there is always hope in a second chance. Thank you!
