Emergency Surgery 4 Lincoln the Lab

Donation protected

Lincoln, the Labrador Retriever, recently tore his left CrCL (better known as his Acl) & requires an emergency operation on his knee in order to repair the ligament. Lincoln is a gentle soul that has touched the lives of many. He is a very active dog & while running & playing in the back yard one day, a swift sharp turn led to this accidental critical injury. Lincoln is considered more than just a pet, but also a member of a family. Unfortunatley, this injury occurred at a very tough time for Lincoln's family. His owner was struck by a vehicle & sustained several injuries just 7 months prior to Lincoln's injury. After recently recovering from her injuries, Lincoln's owner returned to full duty as a police officer. Less than a month after returning to work a burglary occurred while Lincoln was inside of their home. As Lincoln's owner arrived home while the burglary was taking place, she was then assaulted, leaving her injured as well. Many items were never recovered, property was completely damaged & the place that Lincoln once called home quickly became a memory. It was only by the grace of God that Lincoln & his owner are alive & the burglar is in custody. Unfortunately it will be hard for Lincoln to have this estimated $3,000 surgery that he requires during this difficult time. After losing their only other pet less than 6 months ago to Cancer, Lincoln has helped tremendously to hold this family together. We ask that if possible, that you share Lincoln's story & help us to put a smile on his face once again.
