SRQ JUNIOR LIFEGUARD GEAR DRIVE

The USLA Sarasota County Chapter of Junior Lifeguards, Inc. needs your help!! Our equipment is getting waterlogged, our competition gear is getting old, and our trailer is getting wet!! When we started this program 6 years ago, much of what we use today was donated and bought with donations. We've done our best for as long as possible but it's time to reach out and ask for a little help from the community to keep our campers on quality softtop surfboards, have solid rescue equipment, get new competition beanies, and fix a leaky trailer. We've trained nearly 300 future lifeguards to protect our beaches and pools and we want to keep it going! Any litte bit helps, and you can come and watch the kids in action in June. The Nokomis Beach camp is June 15-19, while the camp at Siesta Beach is June 22-26. Both start at 8:30 am and run until 1 pm. You'll see lots of activity, including morning PT, rescue board action, paddling, swimming, group rescues, group excersizes, and lots more!! We love this program and have worked hard with Sarasota County Parks and Recreation to make it what it is today. Every year we have return campers, and every year our camps keep getting better!
