Hi Everyone...
A very close family friend of ours, who lives in Phoenix, has tried for a very long time to have a baby. It’s all she's ever wanted. Kendra used to run her own small daycare just to be able to care for babies & toddlers. She is one of the most loving, kindhearted and nurturing people we know. On April 19th, 2015 she gave birth to her first child - "Savannah".
Shortly after Savannah's birth they discovered that she has, amongst other serious problems, Heterotaxy Syndrome - an EXTREMELY rare disorder which effects only 4 in 1,000,000 babies born. Her heart, lungs, liver and other vital organs are on the wrong side of her body and her oxygenated and deoxygenated blood are 'mixing'. A team of specialists and surgeons at Phoenix Children’s Hospital are working 24/7 to map out the first of numerous surgeries she will require over many years.
The medical costs are and will be astronomical & devastating for this young family, as is the emotional impact this is having on her young parents and the entire family.
A Go Fund Me site has been set up for Savannah (see link below). If you are able to donate that truly would be the first of many prayers to be answered. If not. please pass this message along to your families, friends, co-workers, schools, churches, local news media, businesses and any charitable organizations you may be involved with or connected to by Email, via Facebook and/or "any" form of social media you use.
