Speak Out Now!

Agape presents the "SPEAK OUT NOW Campaign" to raise awareness against domestic violence. We must take action by investing in ongoing public campaigns to tackle attitudes and sexism in the media, workplace and community.



Every 9 seconds in the US a woman is assaulted or beaten. Studies suggest that up to 10 million children witness some form of domestic violence annually. Those who as children witnessed their parents' domestic violence were twice as likely to abuse their own wives than sons of nonviolent parents.



Based on reports from 10 countries, between 55 percent and 95 percent of women who had been physically abused by their partners had never contacted nongovernmental organizations, shelters, or the police for help.



We need to meet this goal so that we can dispense our SPEAK OUT NOW posters and place them in strategic places throughout our city to provide effective support and prevention plans.
