Backpacking South America- 4 Months

Hi Everybody!! My name is Gary and I have been accepted to study abroad in Ecuador from September 5th-December 11th through my school. After December 11th, I am planning on traveling more through South America for another month.


I am a student at CUNY John Jay in New York City, and it has been a dream of mine to backpack through and see as much of south america as possible. I will finally have the chance to do this because I will spending my fall in Ecuador.


 
I want to learn as much as I can about South American culture and language while I am there. I am planning on going to a lot of historic sites such as Cusco, Peru; Tiwanaku, Bolivia; Cartagena, Colombia, and of course I am planning on going to Machu Picchu in Peru.  



I am hoping that I can raise enough money to cover some of my airfare to take a big part of the load off of me. I would appreciate any help, and I am including some incentives to donate. I know it is not much but I still wanted to show my appreciation.
