Sourwine Dream Project

Donation protected
James Sourwine has had 9 years to reflect on his past, present, and future in the Fort Dodge Correctional Facility and has devoted himself for the past several years to self-improvement and planning for his future. James has worked hard at the media center, in Toastmasters, and in his Spanish as a Second Language club to start his journey of becoming the person he was meant to be but has only been able to get two college classes under his belt with a wage of less than a dollar an hour.

James is working toward a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration at Adams State University and needs all the financial help he can get in order to get his degree and prepare himself to be a productive member of society upon his release. At $500 a course James will need approximately $30,000 to complete his education.

James is humbled from the kindness and support he has already received from members of his family and fellow Toastmasters and will repay the kindness in turn to those who may need it in the future. To quote the words of Nelson Mandela, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” James plans to do just that. Armed with an education he can achieve his own dream and help others achieve theirs, moving this country forward one person at a time.

James is gracious for any publicity, donations, and well wishes you can offer him and, in return, will keep anyone interested up to-date with his academic achievements, personal development, and progress toward his future on his website and Facebook page. Please see the various Toastmasters speeches, letters of recommendation, and more information about James here.

Finally, thank you. James and his family thank each and every reader, donator, and advocate for the time you’ve taken to read this request and the resources you’ve paid forward to James. God bless you.
