Sneakers for Hogar del Niño XC Team

Hi! My name is Nina Garambone and I am currently a year-long volunteer in the Dominican Republic at the Hogar del Niño school. The school is located in La Romana and caters to the low income population of the city. Our team of volunteers has created a cross country team and they have been training for a marathon event in December to benefit the school. The team started practice in September and have been working very diligently to prepare for their race. Unfortunately, our students are running in shoes that are not appropriate and cannot afford to buy new sneakers. We are trying to raise money to buy new sneakers for the team which without they will not be able to participate in the event. I am asking you all for your help and support. Every dollar counts! Hopefully, we can reach our $500 goal as soon as possible so that the students can contiue doing something that makes them feel important. Thank you very much!
