Hi, my name is Brian and I'm the coach of the Sled Stars. I'm really hoping you can help me raise some money to help the team out. Any money raise will go towards ice fees, equipment and travel expenses. We are a registered 501(c) not for profit organization.
A little about the sled hockey and the team itself.
Seld hockey is a sport that originates from Sweden back in the 1960's. It gives people of all ages with physical disabilities a way to play hockey. And is currently gaining popularity around the world.
The Sled Stars themselves have been around since 2002 and in that time we have been able to get many physically challenged youth and young adults into sleds to try the sport or to just have fun. We currently play at Hollydell Ice Arena in Sewell, NJ.
Unfortunately this cost money and it is currently funded by the parents of the players. I would like to change that with your help. We currently pay close to $6500 in ice fees each year. Then add to that travel expenses and the cost for equipment and sleds and that number quickly grows!
