Sky’s The Limit (“STL”) is a non-profit organization that works for the betterment of youth in and around Pontiac and the surrounding communities. STL is an affiliated organization of The Amateur Athletic Union of the U.S. Inc. (“AAU”) and is recognized as 501(c)3 tax exempt under its group determination ruling.
The main goal of STL is to promote the intellectual, moral and physical development of our scholar-athletes and to educate them on the virtues of integrity, leadership, teamwork, confidence, self-discipline, pride, good sportsmanship and self-esteem in victory and defeat, and to enhance and strengthen community involvement. Due to the many school closures and district financial problems, a large number of our youth will not have the opportunity to participate in an organized basketball program. STL is here to provide that opportunity by providing an innovative scholar-athlete after school mentoring and educational program for student athletes who have ambitions of playing in, and graduating from college. Our mission is “Master’s degree by 23”. We also offer AAU travel teams and a basketball league for girls and boys ages 5-15.
In order to meet our goal and continue to provide services in our community, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support. Without the assistance of community-minded individuals just like you, we would not be able to serve those in our community each year. Donations help sustain our organization and benefit the community which we serve. Your contribution will be utilized for facility rental fees, computers, equipment (i.e., basketballs, whistles, scorebooks, school supplies, etc.), uniforms, medals/trophies, AAU memberships, travel expenses, and website maintenance. Your generosity will make a difference in our community by allowing us to continue to work with our youth.
Remember that every donation makes a difference, regardless of size. Thank you in advance for your consideration of our request and your interest in helping us in our efforts to assist our youth in achieving their potential and becoming leaders of tomorrow !
