Mouthwatering chocolate chip cookies with just the right amount of crisp around the edges. Decadent cupcakes piled high with fluffy vanilla bean frosting. Divine cakey doughnuts drizzled with chocolate glaze and sprinkles.
These aren't the descriptors that come to mind first when people hear that I want to start a vegan bakery. Then they taste my treats. Trust me, you won't miss a thing. I'm professionally trained in Pastry Arts, and have 8 years of practical experience under my belt. Working for myself doing what I love has been my goal for a long time, and I'm finally taking the steps to get there!
So what's the plan? First, gather startup costs and get goin' from home. Pitch all the best local coffee shops, markets, ice cream parlors, and natural food stores. Set up shop at farmer's markets. Support myself, work for myself, build my name and my business for myself. It's my aim to work hard and soon be able to work less and less hours for other people and more for my business. Eventually, I'll be able to take the brick and mortar plunge!
I've already got a lot to get me started, but I can't produce the volume I'll need to without a few more key items - namely another stand mixer and a chest freezer. Along with that, I'll need to take in to account purchasing bulk ingredients from suppliers; advertising and website costs; pans, spoons, bowls and all that fun stuff; and packaging for my product.
That's where YOU come in! Though I want to work for myself, I can't do it alone. Through the support of my generous friends, family (and even you strangers out there in cyberspace), I hope to reach this goal. I can't do it without you - consider helping me on my journey to my dream.
