Team4961's Championship Travel Fund

We are a team of high school students from Almont, MI competing in the FIRST robotics FRC program.  Each year, the program produces a new game, and it is up to the students to create a robot that will complete the numerous objectives.  In only our second year, we were able to qualify for the State Championships last weekend.  Following our performance in the State Tournament, we earned a spot at the World Championships in St Louis, MO. 
This four day tournament features teams from all over the world and will expose our students to different design ideas, different solutions, and different cultures that they would not experience otherwise. 
Our team is responsible for raising all of our own funds.  Through hard work in the off season, the team reached out to sponsors and wrote grants.  With these funds, we were able to purchase all of the parts for our robot and pay the entry fees to our tournaments.  However, all of the tournaments that we attended were close enough to home to allow us to travel back and forth.  We are estimating our hotel costs alone for the four day event to be around 3500 dollars.  We are asking that the Gofundme sponsors please help our students pay for their travel expenses so that they can finish this years season with this once in a lifetime opportunity that they have worked so hard to achieve.
