My name is Penny Harris,
I have suffered from depression for almost 6 years and I am constantly battling not only with myself but also with the stigma that society gives people with Mental Illness. I don't ever want someone to feel as though they are a burden to others, just because they are mentally ill. So in an effort to raise awareness and to hopefully decrease this stigma, I will be shaving my head. I hope to raise $1000 to go towards Headspace. Headspace is a foundation thats aim is to provide early interventions for mental health to Australian youth. Once the $1000 goal is reached I will be shaving my head, and hopefully have an event, for people to attend.
