Shannon's Corner- Medical Expenses

Our sister Shannon is 38 years young, a wife, to a loving and supportive husband, and mother of a very spunky and beautiful 10 year old daughter. She is battling a very aggressive form of sarcoma, FS DFSP, for the 3rd time. Shannon is one of the strongest women we know. She is athletic, creative, artistic, kind, loving, and has a huge heart. She is a giving person and has supported so many causes both financially and by running in charity 5k's. It's her turn to be supported.  Will you please join us in her corner as she fights this cancer? 

Due to her illness she is no longer able to work. As so many of us know, the cost of treating cancer can be devastating, and this is the 3rd time for her. Besides medical bills (copays, coinsurance, deductibles, premiums) from doctors, hospitals, and clinics there are bills for chemo and other prescriptions. Because her form of chemo is not an IV, but a pill, it is not covered by her health insurance, but rather her prescription insurance. Even with prescription coverage the cost to her and her husband are astronomical. These pills and other medicines can run thousands each month, and, for her, treatment will be life long.

Please help us ease the financial burden for her. People shouldn't have to worry about which bills they'll pay, or if they can afford to continue treatments.

Every donation will go directly to Shannon to help cover the cost of treatment such as chemo, pain medicine, anti-nausea medicine, etc.,  and medical fees like MRI, CT Scans,  IV,  lab work etc...
