Moving Fund for Shannon & Sophie

Becoming pregnant with Sophie knocked me off my feet. When her father left and kicked me out of our home 4 months pregnant I was in a new state without a dime to my name. It has taken lots of time, tears, and kindness from others, but I am finally on my way to getting back on my feet. Sophie is 13 months old and I am working as a freelance writer and selling through a couple of direct sales businesses. By July my income will be strong enough to stand on my own 2 feet. However, we need to leave our current home by the end of May, so time is running out. I need to have an apartment rented as soon as possible but do not yet have the money to cover rent and security deposits and multiple application fees. A rather huge issue is that I have poor credit after having to quit work during the pregnancy due to complications with preeclampsia and becoming homeless. So I need to have more rent upfront and a larger damage deposit as I don't have anyone who can cosign.  I am asking for this push of help to get us into a safe home so I may continue working to get back on my feet. Your donation helps keep us out of a homeless shelter or having to move multiple times and find ways to store our belongings. It allows us to continue to move forward and I do plan to give back and help other families when I'm back on my feet as well. This entire experience has been the greatest challenge of my life but I am so grateful for every lesson and so proud of every success because I am slowly but surely achieving my goal of caring for my daughter and working from home.
