Help the Kitty!

So someone suggested setting this up.  I'll admit...it feels weird.  I have a hard time asking for help...let alone accepting it.
I have what we'll call a special needs cat.  His lucky little butt has urinary issues.  Now these issues if not caught quickly can lead to death pretty fast.  These issues also tend to be very expensive because by the time you realize something is wrong something is usually really wrong.  This makes the 3rd emergency visit for Shady...the last one being July 2012.

During that lovely episode he spent 3 or 4 days in the hospital before getting sent home.  That was a very high bill...but at the time my monthly bills were relatively low so I was able to manage it.  Since moving my monthly bills have tripled.  And the vet's have gotten more expensive.

So Shady is currently in the care of Prince William Emergency Vet.  To fix his blockage so far it has cost $1700.  Which I obviously do not have.  I had to max out my credit card to pay that.


Everyone that has met Shady knows he's kind of an asshole.  He's not a people person at all and I think he barely tolerates me because I feed him. 

However...he's a cute little thing so he's got that going for him.  So if anyone would care to pitch in a buck or two to help me with this bill it would be very much appreciated.  And even though Shady won't say thank you (asshole remember?) I will.
