On April 18th I lost my mom and best friend, Zonette Willis, to her life long battle with Sickle Cell Anemia and kidney disease. After her 47 yearlong battle she’s been called home where she is finally pain free; however, not only has her passing left a void in my heart but also put me in quite the predicament.
Unfortunately, because of her preexisting condition she wasn’t able to acquire any type of life insurance policy. She did have a burial policy in place but it was not in effect long enough to mature and put a dent in the burial expenses. I’m in immediate need of assistance with funeral services as I am a full time student at Cal State Long Beach in my junior year with 3 semesters left. My mom sacrificed much while dealing with her illness including single handedly, paying my tuition so that I can attend full time and be debt free.
Any financial assistance that you can provide would be greatly appreciated as I am her only child. There’s no amount to small.
