Senior Study Hall-The Blog

I'm Tomayia, a high school senior portrait photographer, teacher, mom, and founder of Senior Study Hall, a non-profit organization, in Houston, Texas.
After shooting high school seniors and hearing countless times: "Oh, I don't look that good", "you're just saying that", and "I look fat", as a mom and teacher my heart longed to provide a safe haven just for them. I set out with a vision from God to launch a blog/site in which every teen regardless of size, shape, or ethnicity would be celebrated and every future client would be able to see themselves as beautiful.
Our mission is to improve the self image of high school students and provide photography education to students and the general public. Our blog www.seniorstudyhall.com showcases styling trends and beauty secrets for high school students along with posts about proper etiquette, self esteem issues and making positive life choices.
In addition, our blog will features a platform where photographers who capture high school seniors, can use their artistic talents and feature their quirky, fun and "outside the box" photo shoots from across the United States. The teens, in essence will be able to see themselves in an artistic fashion; hopefully realizing just how unique they really are.
With the support of donors, we will become a federally recognized 501(c)3 non profit in the spring of 2014 and launch our first Teen Enrichment 101 in March of 2014 in Houston, Texas.
