Breaking into the Game Industry is hard and we need your help!! The Game Developer's Conference is the Biggest one for professionals in the field and a possible the best way to get an inside look at what is needed to get hired.

WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH THAT MONEY???
The Breakdown
$1975.00 - The cost of the All Access conference pass at regular price [before Jan 31. the early bird price is only $1475.00!]
$339.00 - The current price for 6 nights at the courtyard hotel
[It is the cheapest rate within walking distance of the Moscone Convention Center]
$100.00 - Estimated cost of groceries that we would prepare before the trip and pack for meals while we attend the conference [After Attending Siggraph as volunteers we learned to eat cheap!]
120.70 - The 5% cut that Gofundme takes for all donations.

TOTAL - $2534.70

Every dollar over goes towards: the iPad Fund so that Natasha can use it to present her portfolio professionally and concisely.

THANK YOU! for taking the time to view this fund. Tasha Lee and David Hooker, future Game Artist and Voice Actor need help to attend the Game Developers Conference this March. It is the Biggest conference for Gaming industry professionals and a great way for us to further ourselves as she is currently a (stellar) Game Art student (see some of her work here) and I am an aspiring Actor/Director (a short vignette  ) 

Dream Job involve getting in below:


We have moved from MD all the way to California.

We both applied to be volunteers for the conference but she was not selected :


and it was a crushing blow to us both. This is something she really wants to be able to attend.

She needs to:
- Have her portfolio reviewed by Industry professionals so she can have focused critics and a clear vision of what she needs to improve/what the gaming community is looking for in a artist.

- Go to panels and discussions to learn about the future of the gaming industry and so she can better tailor her portfolio to match the companies she wants to work for.

What I want to do:
- Create short films of day to day updates at the conference. inspiration for others who would have liked to attend and share information from other professionals about getting in the industry, upcoming developments they are excited about. and have an outlet to thank all of you!
