In April of 2014, I was diagnosed with colon cancer & although the journey wasn't easy, I listened to my body, was brave enough to have things checked out & thanks to early detection of the disease & a year of rigorous treatment including multiple surgeries, proton therapy & chemotherapy, I'm now in remission & living life to its fullest. 

I was recently accepted to Athletes 4 Cancer Camp Koru, an adventure retreat program that empowers young cancer fighters & survivors, ages 18-39, to find healing, achievement & life renewal through active outdoor experiences in the ocean & the mountains. While Athletes 4 Cancer  covers housing, meals & other associated costs of attending camp, the expense of my airfare is not included. 

By donating to this campaign, I'll be able to purchase the needed plane ticket to surf the magical waters of Maui, Hawaii & most importantly, continue down the healing path of recovery, both mentally & physically.
