Playground for Homeless Children
Donation protected
For over 50 years, San Diego Rescue Mission has been helping San Diego's homeless by providing an opportunity for those in need to take control of their lives, find a new level of stability, and return to their communities as fulfilled, contributing members of society. More than 1,000 homeless mothers and their children are struggling each day on the streets of San Diego. San Diego Rescue Mission has recognized the need for these mothers to take charge of their lives while making sure their children are safe and taken care of by launching a Children's Center. The program addresses the physical, emotional, social, cognitive and spiritual needs that our homeless children require.
We need your help! It has been proven that children learn best through play. We are looking to raise $16,000 to provide a play space with equipment such as tricycles, basketball hoops and games to encourage motor skill development; age-appropriate climbing structures; shaded areas for reading; a children's garden and sandbox and more! Every dollar raised will bring us one step closer in aiding the innocent homeless children in our city.
