Scar After Scar - the first EP

Scar After Scar is the genesis of the reformation of some of the founding members of Rob Harrison's band, 'Menace,' in late 2010.

After trying out a succession of vocalists, in mid-2012 Rob suggested adding high school friend, and fellow musician, Michael Payne (Swerve for the Girl) on vocals.

As the band worked to craft it's distinctive sound throughout 2012 and 2013, changes in the band's lineup resulted in the addition of Portland-area drummer, Scott Andergard (Hema), and helped the band solidify into an extremely tight unit.

The addition of Scott on drums and the band's unique bass  structure has ushered in a renewed sense of creativity and drive, as well as provided a more contemporary sound.

Scar After Scar's emphasis on song craft and a high-energy live show has led to a very successful 2015, so far -- seeing the band achieve radio air-play throughout the USA and Europe, receive an invitation to perform on a festival tour throughout Summer 2015, play several shows at prestigous local venues, contemplate a brief west coast tour later in the year, and spend several weeks ranked as the #1 unsigned Rock Band in the very competitive Portland, Oregon market.

All of these achievements have been reached without a studio album to support the band's efforts. All of the band's recordings to-date have been self-produced in the band's rehersal studio with a limited knowledge of the recording process.

Now is the time for the band to get into the studio and record its first fully produced EP.

With roots in 70s Punk, 80s Metal, 90s Alternative and all 21st century Rock genres, Scar After Scar is a singularly unique and distinctive band which defies classification.

For lack of a better term, Scar After Scar has been described as "Punk Metal." Their sound is melodic, raw, powerful and immediately accessible to an audience. And the band's unwavering focus on song structure, musicianship and stage-craft allows them to go toe-to-toe with any band, big or small, that shares a stage with them.
