Suki was spotted in a very pregnant state aimlessly wandering the mean streets of the Corridor of Cruelty. Not long after seeing her and feeding her, our volunteers at Corridor Rescue Inc. witnessed her purposely being hit by a car……Information was obtained that confirmed the driver of the truck that hit poor, helpless Suki WAS aiming directly for her because our volunteer stood beside the road and put out her hand for him to stop but he in fact sped up and did not slow down at all even after nearly crushing poor pregnant Suki with his truck.
Suki is now safe at one of our clinics….but The impact injured Suki enough that she is unable to walk - she is currently on I.V. fluids and receiving pain medication. Suki's pelvis was fractured and her hip was injured and will likely require a femoral head ostectomy to repair the damage. When Suki is well enough to leave the veterinary hospital, she will need a foster home to recover in. She will also need when the time is due a c-section to deliver the puppies…..that alone will cost $3,000 and this is where I hope.... from all of you to raise enough to at least pay for the c-section and take some of the financial burden off of Corrdor Rescue Inc. God Bless the Volunteers who were there or else Suki and her puppies would have suffered and died a lonely death on that street.
