Save Bambi

Hi! My name is Frankie Bambino, Bambi for short.  I'm an Italian Greyhound-Chihuahua and I've had one heck of a journey.  A month ago, after being abandoned, I was found wandering around in the middle of nowhere, by Klamath Falls.  That's where Animal Control found me and took me to the pound.  Charmed by my sweet disposition and irresistible awkward swagger, they decided to admit me to a second chance program so I could be transferred to the Humane Society in Portland, Oregon. They cleaned me up, vaccinated me, and patiently waited for the right human to fall head over heals for me.  


This is where I met my new mom, Jessica.  I hopped into her lap and fell asleep.  It was love at first snuggle.  We have only been together for two weeks but we have become the best of friends! We go on walks, play at the dog park, hang out at the XRAY.fm office, and snuggle.  It's been a great experience finding my furever owner! The more we hang out the more inseparable we become.  People even say we look alike, which is pretty funny.  


Unfortunately, the other day, a loud sound frightened me (the world is still a bit scary to a tiny guy like me who's been through so much!) and I took a leap of faith onto the ground from pretty high up.  I didn't land the way I was supposed to and I broke my front leg with a complete fracture.  It was the most painful experience and now I need surgery that is REALLY expensive.  Mom found me an awesome veterinary orthopedic surgery school that is studying injuries like mine.  If I help my human mom raise the funds, we can spend a long happy life together with more adventures!  We've only had these two weeks and it's unfortunate that this terrible thing has happened but I have hope that there are other good hearted humans out there who will help me find funds to get my leg all fixed up.
