Help us Save these Animals! PLEASE!

Hello Everyone,

We are Johnny and Megan from Red Rock Texas and this is how we got to where we are right now, making a go fund me page.

Red Rock, Texas is located just South of Austin, Texas, and between the towns of Bastrop, and Lockhart. My family has 50 acres and its a beautiful slice of country and country living.

When I moved here 4 years ago, There were a couple of dogs that lived here, One was a dog that showed up one day scared and obviously an abuse victim, we named him "Red".  My first meeting with him was seeing him laying on the ground with a bullet hole thru his torso. The biggest hold completely thru on any animal Ive ever seen alive OR dead! But he lived, and after several years of constant love and attention he has become a wonderful pet. He learned what love is!!

But since I have lived here, I noticed a trend. We live on a dead end in the country. And dogs keep showing up. Obviously dumped off, but they come thru and leave, many times I have cried worrying about dogs I have never even layed a hand on to love. But recently I have had different dogs show up and not want to leave and I am feeding them and trying to keep them sheltered. But With ANOTHER new addition we have named "Momma"who just  had a litter of 7 puppies, along with 2 stray cats that showed up and had kittens I am getting overwhelmed financially. And I havent even gotten to "Snarls Barkley"!!

My first and biggest challenge and the main reason for this page is Snarls. The dog in the pic. He showed up and has obviously been abused. From his ears being all scarred up to his severe fright of anything and everything. He literally SNARLS at everyone. I thought he might be sick at first, but I realized he was just scared. If I cant raise money to shelter and feed him, I am forced to call animal control. And even though Bastrop County is a "No Kill" shelter, he is scary and snarls like hes sick. (Thus me dubbing him Sir Snarls Barkley!) I know that they dont have the time or people to put into rehabbing him and helping him see love. I do. Im hoping I can accomplish this as I dont want to call them. I have seen TREMENDOUS! He still snarls at everyone else, but I(with the help of a hot dog) have gotten to pet him and get him to regularly come to me.  For over 2 weeks he wouldnt come close. I am getting somewhere. I just need help!

I know what some are saying, did u look for all these pets owners? OF COURSE!! from craigslist listings to flyers at both our local stores I ALWAYS tried to find another way than have another mouth to feed. And if my dog wandered Id want the same.

But right now I am dealing with 7 adult dogs, 7 puppies, 2 adult cats, 12 kittens, and I never know when another animal will show up!

I am currently planning on taking my State of Texas Animal Control Certification so I have a little more credibility taking care of these animals, but after 40 years, I am a great animal care taker.

But my page here is to help me feed all these animals,(and any new ones that might show up) and to build a large dog kennel and shelter. I want something that I can keep them in in rain and storms and severe heat and cold, and or if one is sick I need a place to put them. I am currently working on trying to get whatever certifications I might need, but I am not trying to start an animal shelter, just an animal "sanctuary", where I can rehab these animals, and rehome them with people that will give them happy healthy forever homes!!

My options are either do this, or to take the kittens and cats to animal control, and the dogs too. I just cant afford to feed them all and its not fair they dont have adequate shelter yet.

I am trying to raise enough to cover food for a year and to cover the building materials needed to build an indoor, covered, shelter for all of the animals.
I will do all the construction work and building myself. I just cant pay money for something I can do myself and since I can, I will. So any and all donations to help us will go to food and materials. Nothing else.
If we can reach our goal, I will build:
-Covered Kennel area to house/shelter 8-12 dogs
-Small indoor Air conditioned Cat "house" for 12-15 cats
If we have enough I want to also build a corral and small barn for larger animals or livestock that is in need of a temporary home till being rehomed.

UPDATE: I am pouring the slab for the kennels this week, but are desperately seeking donations!! Every penny helps!! We are going to file our 501.3(c) in the next few weeks too. Donations would GREATLY speed up that process for us! It is going to cost us about $900(including federal filing fees) and once we do I can try to get donations from largers groups like perfinder and the aspca!! PLEASE HELP IF U CAN!!!
