Shelter Island's Short Term Rentals

We are raising money to fund our advertising, signage, and legal costs.

Do you love Shelter Island and the people that live and work and visit here? Do you believe in protecting your property rights and your right to privacy?
Shelter Islanders are fighting to preserve our property rights and ensure our fragile seasonal economy survives. Short Term Rentals are a time honored 150 year tradition here. With the exception of our bright Supervisor, Jim Dougherty,  our town board wants to destroy our economy by mandating a two week minimum. This limitation will effectively eliminate Short Term Rentals. Will you stand tall for us and make this matter for Shelter Island? Are you a business owner here? If so, think about half your summer revenue disappearing forever! A proposed two week minimum will mean economic suicide for your business! 50 % of SI's summer visitors will disappear.
Every dollar goes towards supporting every one of our island businesses and protecting your property rights.
