Surgery for Nomi the min pin

After losing my min pin of 14 years a friend contacted me about a young female min pin that belonged to an elderly neighbor who had recently passed away. The poor dog had been with the owner for several days before they were discovered. Since I had just lost my min pin and she had lost her owner he thought it would be great to connect me with this incredibly sweet but traumatized dog. On our second day together the dog which I named Nomi after Klaus Nomi and Nomi Malone from Showgirls because of her long dancers legs, freaked out over the sound of a passing bus, wiggled free from her collar and ran straight into traffic. After rushing her to Los Feliz Animal Hospital for X-rays and care it was determined Nomi suffered from a broken hip, broken pelvis, broken rib, and a bruised liver so she was taken to the Animal Specialty Group (ASG) for surgery to be done ASAP. I was told she should make a full recovery 2-3  months after surgery and I already put down $3,000 of my own money for a depost but as this was unexpected I am ill prepared to cover the rest.
