SASS Nonprofit Launch

SASS is a national collective of sexual assault, domestic violence, and sexual harassment survivors working advocating to end gender violence.

SASS works to fight to end sexual violence through its three pillars of Support, Advocacy and Education.
The group is a safe space for our members to connect, express themselves, support each other, and share information on resiliency, resources, healing and advocacy opportunities.

Through collaborative partnerships, and survivor initiatives SASS hosted a widely-attended seminar on how to support sexual assault survivors. Our members also successfully petitioned a local court to keep an alleged serial DMV rapist in jail for an extension of 6 months and have him banned from events he openly admits to using as hunting grounds for the next 3 years. We have hosted numerous survivor speak outs, including coordinating an art gallery exhibit in partnership with other community and survivor organizations, and launched a blog sharing the stories of survivors from various backgrounds in the Washington, DC area.

Help us continue our work as we expand our reach and impact to include healing retreats, sexual education curriculum, and court advocacy campaigns to hold perpetrators accountable.
