Help Us Get a New Pugmill

Donation protected

Our Pottery studio has become an important creative space in the South Surrey/White Rock community. It provides studio space to the Semiahmoo Potters Society, various members of the Fraser Valley Pottery Society, and over 400 pottery students each year.

We offer pottery classes for children, youth, and adults as well as self-directed drop-in studio sessions and pottery parties. Profits from these classes go almost wholly to the instructors, leaving us with very little to cover our operating costs.

One way we can conserve our pottery resources is by updating our clay recycling procedures.
Currently, we have a very old pugmill that was graciously lent to us by one of our community members. Although, this pugmill is better than nothing, it is impossible for it to keep up with the demand of our studio - and also, we will have to give it back at the end of the year, as it is not ours.

A new pugmill will save us time, money, and also allow us to more effectively recycle our clay!

A new pugmill will allow us to:
-Recycle more clay in 1/4 of the time.
-Allow us to sell recycled clay to our user groups and individual artists at reduces prices.
-Help us keep our pottery classes affordable for all ages.

Thank you for helping us continue our work of providing this inclusive space for pottery and ceramics in South Surrey/White Rock.
