Sarah Mclauchlan's Medical Fund

My name is Angela, and I am blessed to call Sarah Mclauchlan my dear friend! Today i am starting this Go Fund Me medical fund to give Sarah some much needed help and peace of mind while her and her family face a recent diagnosis of Hodgkin's Lymphoma Cancer. Sarah has been given this initial diagnosis however is waiting more testing because it has been discovered that she has swollen lymph nodes throughout her abdomen and on her spleen. There will be a long road ahead for her with her continued testing and then treatment as she fights this battle.
Sarah has been fighting this for the most part as a silent battle, she is a very private person and though this may be so very hard for her to put this so public, i know as her friends and family we will show Sarah she does not have to fight this alone and we will rally to support her in any way we can!
The one thing we can all do for her is to help her out financially, to at least ease the burden of the financial strain this is causing her. Sarah has been off work now for 5 weeks, She only had the first 4 weeks of that paid as sick time but that has since ended. She is now without pay and is still waiting for her medical EI claim to be processed. It is looking like the medical EI will not be in effect until after Christmas sometime.
Sarah has already had to travel to Vancouver for tests; and will be travelling to Victoria for further tests and treatment plan two times next week. The expenses for her are already accumulating, let alone having no income to meet her regular daily needs of being a mom and the bills that go along with just living! When her medical EI is in place it will obviously not be the amount she would be earning if she were able to work. Sarah has a long journey ahead of her to kick this cancer in the butt, having to be off of work for an undetermined amount of time, We need to help her in anyway we can, this is one small way we can!
I know this time of year is difficult for many with the holidays and all, but i am very humbly asking you to please consider any amount of donation, it can be as little as $5.00! Any amount will make a huge difference in easing Sarah's current stresses! Sarah only needs to focus on getting well, we can do our part in making sure there is nothing else she needs to worry about!
