Hey dearest loved ones!
I'm a junior at Virginia Tech and my major is Agricultural-Econ. So, I want to work with poverty reduction and sex-trafficking in the future and this opportunity opens the door to serve Jesus in this particular way currently and for my not-so-distant future. Both things are close to my major at vt and with this internship I get to also share the Gospel of Jesus to those in the DR while I work at Empowering Action (on Jan 7-19th). I need two kinds of support: financial ($1.200-1,300) and, as equally important as the first, the secod is prayer.
Did you know that more than one-half of the world’s people live below the internationally defined poverty line of less than $2 a day? In the Dominican Republic (DR) alone, The World Bank estimates that 45%of the total population lives on or below the national poverty line!
Pray ask the Lord for an amount and for my trip! So eternally greatful that you are partnering in some way with me, Jesus, and the mission of Heaven to share what Jesus has finished!
I will be doing these and related things:
-Aiding Underdeveloped Nations- International Development/Sustainability/Employment and training
-Poverty reduction
-Rural and regional developmental policy
-Accounting
-Slave trade and sex trafficking
-Econometrics
-All things nonprofit related
-Food changes/systems/development
-Economic Research
-Management
-Networking
-Event planning/Fundraising project
