Sam's Road to Recovery

My cousin Sam Warren, 12 years old, was involved in a severe motorbike accident at Tieri, Queensland on Saturday, 2nd January.

No one saw the accident but from his injuries we suspect it was a head on collision over a tabletop jump.

He sustained extensive injuries including:
-Broken knee
-Broken Tibia
-Broken right Humerus
-2 broken vertebrae - No damage to spinal cord
-Broken left wrist
-Both arms broken
-2 broken ribs
-Fractured skull
-Fractured cheek and nose
-Artery damage in leg- almost resulting in amputation
-Possible nerve damage

It's incredibly heartbreaking for his family who are doing their absolute best to put on a brave face for their little fighter.

Both parents, Alistair and Leonie Warren, are right by his side day in and day out supporting Sam through his many high-risk surgeries. This means being over 600km from their family home, community and work. Please put yourself in their shoes and donate what you can to help this beautiful family get their lives back on track. It will be a long journey to recovery with many struggles along the path to overcome.

The support has been tremendous. The paramedics, doctors, surgeons, everyone involved, friends and new friends. We cannot thankyou enough for what you have done to date.
