A message from the Parker family:


To our incredible friends,

It is impossible to find the words to adequately convey our gratitude to you all. The kindness and generosity that you have all showed to Sammy and our family is just beyond words. The memories that Sammy will make on his trip will get him through some challenging times. And that is a gift that is just too big to imagine.

As parents of a child in this position, it is very easy to feel completely alone. It’s easy to slip away from your friends and family and engineer a world that is small and numb. But then your friends show up, pull you out and show you who they are and that you are not alone.

It would be hard for our family to consider ourselves lucky. But what you all have done, through this amazing gesture, has accomplished exactly that. We feel so lucky to have you all in our lives and would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
