What is Safety Compass?

Our mission is to offer support for survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and sex trafficking, navigating the criminal and social justice systems in Marion County, Oregon.  We offer in-person support
for survivors of the sex industry, online support for families of missing and chronically exploited youth and adults, specialized training for professionals and community members, and advocacy response for
law enforcement interviews. We believe that public education increases awareness, resulting in increased victim identification and better intervention outcomes. We are committed to collaboration with law enforcement and social services providers, believing collaboration is the most effective method to achieving criminal and social justice.

Safety Compass Is:

 A culturally specific advocacy service for survivors of
commercial sexual exploitation in Marion County, Oregon.

The only advocacy service in Oregon to offer a family support program for parents, guardians, and loved ones of commercial sexual exploitation victims.

Your donations allow Safety Compass to grow along
with the demand for services. 

Having founded Multnomah County's Advocacy Response Team for commercial sexual exploitation survivors, we have the model and are eager to replicate this in other areas in need. Our goal is to create a
similar non-profit to serve Marion County and rural southern Clackamas County Oregon and continue to be a resource to survivors and local agencies. 

Your dollars will help us:

Expand a team of highly trained, culturally specific advocates

for survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking,

and teens at risk for becoming trafficked.

Cover start-up and administrative expenses (phones, materials

for training of advocates, office supplies, etc.), equipment, costs

for advertising and marketing materials, and website

development.
