Safe Haven Farm Sanctuary focuses on rescuing abused and neglected farm animals. In doing so, we hope to raise awareness about the plight of animals raised for food and the benefits of a vegan diet for the animals, human health, and the environment.
We have several rescued sheep at our sanctuary and they spend their summer days in two pastures. We made one of the pastures 2 years ago, but despite hand raking 2 acres and applying 100 pounds of grass seed every year, the grass is poor. The ground is very rocky, and growing grass is difficult.
We need 2 big truckloads of high quality top soil spread in the new pasture to help make it soft and green. 100 % of the $1500.00 will go to making the sheep's pasture a place they will want to spend all their time.
