Please give to our cause: give every child the right and the privilege to a safe social media experience.
safeDIGZ, is a digital safety provider for tweens and teens. My daughter was cyber-bullied a couple years ago and now I am a mom on a mission . As we talk about in the video, it was an extremely difficult time for our family. Efforts on our end led us down an endless road. We approached school authorities and various law enforcement agencies, to no avail.
Social networking is a critical part of our world which your children want and need to be a part of. Unfortunately, social media is the entrance point to cyber bullying and harassment. I spent a long time thinking and researching the psychology behind this and realized, after speaking with my friend Alan (cyber security expert and co-founder of safeDIGZ) something drastic needed to be done to protect and guide our children. At that moment we realized the world of psychology and the cyber world collided and safeDIGZ was born.
safeDIGZ is geared towards middle schools, high schools, school boards and families in those communities. Kids who are under 13 desperately want to be a part of the social networking scene, but do not have anywhere safe to go.
We created and built a “privacy by design social network.” safeDIGZ incorporates the latest cutting edge anti cyber war technology originally designed to protect the United States government and its citizens. The Social network has the ability to recognize an intruder, make cyber bullying difficult and respond to cyber bullying conducted on safeDIGZ. This sounds technical and possibly overwhelming for teens, however the security measures take place behind the scenes and teens will enjoy a fun, game-like experience while engaging on safeDIGZ.
The strategic and powerful combination of the psychological and cyber worlds allowed safeDIGZ to create an ecosystem built with innovative solutions solving challenges faced by people in a genuine, non-bullying environment.
I started practicing Educational Therapy about 20 years ago after graduating from UCLA and receiving my Masters in Special Education with an emphasis in Psychology. I am a mom to teenage twin daughters and a younger son. About a 2 years ago one of my daughters was cyber bullied and tremendous pain was felt by all. THIS IS WHY I AM A MOM ON A MISSION! There were absolutely no resources available to help my family and me. Thankfully I knew what kind of psychological help to get her and now she is an outspoken advocate against cyber bullying. I am so proud of her. It was a long road getting there, but as a result safeDIGZ was born. Now we need your help so we can help your kids.
Alan W. Silberberg has worked for the President of the United States as well as Corporate CEOs in technology and policy roles. He has invented numerous methodologies to use technology to protect citizens and countries and is now commercializing through multiple patents being filed; some of that from intellectual property originally designed to protect the US. He is widely a followed cyber security, social media expert innovator who is trusted at the highest levels of government and business.
As parents we teach children to look both ways before crossing the street and to not get in cars with strangers. Now we need to teach the children to not do those things in the digital world.
